Spot-a-Potty is a location-based web app created during a 24-hour hackathon to help users quickly find the nearest clean public restroom. As the sole designer, I had under two hours to deliver a design that was simple, clear, and fun. I focused on designing for real-world usability while keeping the tone light and humorous introducing features like β€œgolden poop” ratings instead of stars.


Problem

People often struggle to find accessible, clean bathrooms, especially while traveling, commuting, or attending events.

Solution

Spot-a-Potty is a lightweight web app that helps users find the nearest well-rated bathrooms, using geolocation and user-submitted reviews. Designed with inspiration from restaurant-finding apps like Yelp and Google Maps, the app prioritized:
