Spot-a-Potty is a location-based web app created during a 24-hour hackathon to help users quickly find the nearest clean public restroom. As the sole designer, I had under two hours to deliver a design that was simple, clear, and fun. I focused on designing for real-world usability while keeping the tone light and humorous introducing features like βgolden poopβ ratings instead of stars.
People often struggle to find accessible, clean bathrooms, especially while traveling, commuting, or attending events.

Spot-a-Potty is a lightweight web app that helps users find the nearest well-rated bathrooms, using geolocation and user-submitted reviews. Designed with inspiration from restaurant-finding apps like Yelp and Google Maps, the app prioritized:
